Privacy
Draft for legal review. This page describes how the service is designed to handle data. Have it reviewed against the laws that apply to you (for example Kenya’s Data Protection Act) before public launch.
What we collect
- Your WhatsApp number, to sign you in. It is stored for authentication only and is never shown on your profile.
- Profile details you choose: name, username, photo, short bio, county or town, interests.
- Content you post: posts, photos, comments, who you follow, and reports you file.
- Optional public contact number: only if you add one and switch on “show publicly”. Then anyone can see it.
- Basic usage counts, such as how many people started or finished sign-in, without phone numbers or message content.
Cookies and local storage
We use a session cookie to keep you signed in, a small preference cookie that remembers whether you chose agriculture or aquaculture, and local storage for an unfinished post draft. We do not use advertising cookies. Signing out clears your draft.
Who processes data for us
WhatsApp (Meta) delivers your one-time code. Supabase hosts the database, authentication and image storage. Vercel hosts the website. Optional features may send the text of a draft post to an AI provider to suggest a category; no names or phone numbers are sent.
Public by design
Posts, photos, comments, profile details and follower counts are public. Photos can be opened by anyone who has the link. Please do not post anything you want to keep private.
Your choices
You can edit your profile and delete your own posts and comments at any time. To delete your account or ask what we hold about you, email info@aquaagriface.com.
